Services*
Residential Habilitation
Residential habilitation service provides supervision and specific training activities that assist the recipient to acquire, maintain, or improve skills related to activities of daily living. The service focuses on personal hygiene skills, such as bathing and oral hygiene; homemaking skills such as food preparation, vacuuming, and laundry; and social and adaptive skills that enable the recipient to reside in the community.
Personal Supports
Personal supports services provide assistance and training to the recipient in activities of daily living, such as eating, bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, and preparation of meals.
Companion
Companion services consist of non-medical care, supervision, and socialization activities provided to recipients age 21 years or older.
Respite
This service is generally used due to a brief planned or emergency absence, or when the primary caregiver is available, but temporarily physically unable to care for or supervise the recipient for a brief period of time.

Our founder, Sonja, was inspired to start Empathy Homes after working as a Special Needs Teacher for several years in the Bahamas. She goes above and beyond to ensure team members are thoroughly screened and trained to support clients in any way needed... because empathy isn’t just a word; it’s a way of life.
